Visualization / Visual Analytics and Beyond

Abstract

_In this presentation we will discuss visualization and visual analytics at UK academia and with industry. Our presentation will be in three parts:

1. We present the breadth of academic research in visualization and present the knowledge base (including Eurographics and RIVIC),
2. we take a case study approach and discuss several projects in HPC and visualization, looking at oceanography, HPC and big data, and the animation and creative industries at Bangor University; finally,
3. we present future challenges and opportunities._
